Altar Servers

Altar servers at Corpus Christi form a select group of young men and women dedicated to serving at Mass to the best of their abilities.  Volunteering to be an altar server is asking to become a member of this special group.  This type of service to your parish community can be a very rewarding experience and being an active participant in the celebration of the Mass and other church liturgies makes personal involvement even more meaningful.  But like anything worthwhile, it requires some sacrifices and has some requirements:

• You must be Catholic and be a member of Corpus Christi Parish
• You must have received the Sacrament of First Eucharist and you must agree:
  • to strive to be reverent on the altar.
  •  to consider altar service at least as important as any other activity in which you participate.
  • to learn the prayers of the Mass and actively participate.
  • that if asked to serve you will serve.
  • to adhere to the rules of conduct while in the church and while using church property
