Brothers and Sisters,
During this time of Lent, we Catholics imitate Jesus' 40 day journey into the desert where He underwent the trials necessary to prepare for His passion, death, and resurrection. Over these next 40 days, we too enter into that "desert" time, engaging in fasting, prayer, and almsgiving. I pray that your Lent is filled with Christ-like sacrifice, one that follows His command to "take up your Cross and follow me!" During Lent, may we not be afraid to "die with Christ" so that we will be prepared to "Rise with Him in eternal glory!"
God Bless,
Fr. Pat

The Way of the Cross, also known as the Stations of the Cross, are a way to pray and meditate on Christ's sacrifice for us. This devotion has been long encouraged by the church, and is an especially good practice to add to your Lenten journey. By meditating on Christ's passion, death and resurrection, we draw closer to Him and will be more prepared to receive the graces that come with the blessing of the Easter season.
Stations of the Cross will be prayed in the church each Friday with our Corpus Christi Catholic School students at 2pm. Parishioners are welcome to attend at this time as well.
Stations of the Cross will also follow the 5:30pm Daily Mass. You can follow along with the responses for the Stations of the Cross in the back of the pew Missal.
Our Altar Society holds a "Big Clean" every spring before Easter and we could use some extra hands to help make our church sparkle ahead of Holy Week! Volunteers are asked to bring their own bucket, but all other supplies will be provided. Meet us in the church at 9am on Wednesday, March 29th if you're able to help!
